Inside the workshop
Gilding, patina and timber: a studio that finishes everything by hand.

The bench rarely holds the same thing twice: a mirror frame in leaf, a lamp base in patina, the edge of a table being waxed. The studio works across mirrors, lighting and furniture, but the method is single: everything is finished by hand.
Gilding is the signature. Leaf, platinum or gold, is laid over bole and burnished back so the colour comes up through the metal rather than sitting flat on it. The same patience goes into a verdigris on brass, or a lime-wax worked into timber.

Nothing is rushed, and nothing is quite repeatable. No two pieces leave the bench alike.
