A maker's practice, finished by hand

Sean has been restoring antique mirrors since 1996, and learned the craft on Georgian convex mirrors from the 1820s, pieces with real character, embellished with mythological dragons. That work became a practice of his own.

What began with mirrors has grown into a practice across lighting and furniture too: lamps, tables and one-off pieces, made for private clients, members' clubs and large interiors. The thread is the hand-finish: gilding and verre églomisé, patina on metal, lime and wax on timber. No two are alike.

Everything is drawn and finished by hand, made to order, and made slowly. The studio sits in Sean's home village in the Cotswolds.
